APPLYING FOR A BRINTON GOLDENS PUPPY
Bringing a Brinton Goldens puppy into your family is a thoughtful, intentional process. We breed selectively, raise our puppies with purpose, and place them based on temperament and lifestyle fit. If you value ethical breeding, lifelong support, and a puppy raised with care from day one, you’re in the right place.
Our application helps us get to know you, your home, and what you’re looking for in a dog so we can make the best possible matches for both our puppies and their future families.
OUR PROCESS
We do not operate on a first come, first served basis for puppy selection. While deposits secure your place on our waitlist, placement is based primarily on temperament and compatibility.
Here’s what to expect:
• Submit an application using the link below
• We review applications carefully and follow up as needed
• Approved families are invited to place a deposit
• Puppies are matched after temperament evaluations around 7 weeks of age
• Go home occurs at 8 weeks
We believe thoughtful matching creates confident puppies and happy families long term.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We are looking for families who:
• View dogs as family members
• Are committed to training, structure, and lifelong care
• Understand the needs of a Golden Retriever
• Respect ethical breeding practices
• Value open communication and breeder support
We place puppies in a wide variety of homes, from active families to quieter households, but the right fit always matters more than timing or appearance.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
• Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to a future litter at our discretion
• Temperament is prioritized over color or size
• Not every litter is the right fit for every family
• We reserve the right to decline an application if we feel the match would not be in the puppy’s best interest
• Full registration is available only to approved homes
Our responsibility to our dogs does not end at placement. Every puppy we produce is our responsibility for life.
READY TO APPLY
If this sounds aligned with what you’re looking for, we’d love to learn more about you.
Please complete our application below. Once submitted, we will be in touch if we feel you may be a good fit for an upcoming litter.

BEFORE YOU APPLY
Before submitting an application, please take a moment to review the following. Applying does not guarantee approval, but it helps ensure we’re aligned from the start.
✔ You are looking for a well bred, ethically raised Golden Retriever and understand that quality breeding involves time, care, and investment.
✔ You are prepared for the financial responsibility of owning a dog, including training, veterinary care, nutrition, grooming, and long term support.
✔ You understand that temperament matching comes before color, size, or gender preferences.
✔ You are comfortable waiting for the right puppy and understand that timelines may shift depending on heat cycles, pregnancy, and litter size.
✔ You plan to keep your dog as a lifelong family member and are not seeking a short term or disposable commitment.
✔ You are open to guidance and communication throughout the puppy raising process and beyond.
✔ You have discussed this decision with all members of your household and everyone is on board.
✔ You are ready to move forward intentionally, not impulsively.
If you’ve read through this list and feel confident checking every box, you’re likely a great fit for our program.
When you’re ready, you can apply using the link below.
What Happens Next
Once your application is submitted, here’s what you can expect:
• We carefully review each application. This is not automated and may take a little time. Thoughtful placement matters to us.
• If we feel you may be a good fit for an upcoming litter, we will reach out with next steps or follow-up questions.
• Approved families will be invited to place a deposit to secure their place on our waitlist.
• You’ll receive periodic updates as we move closer to breeding, pregnancy confirmation, and puppy arrival.
• Puppies are evaluated and matched around 7 weeks of age based on temperament, lifestyle fit, and household needs.
• Final details, contracts, and go-home planning are completed prior to pickup or transport.
We know waiting can be hard, but intentional breeding requires patience. We promise clear communication, transparency, and support throughout the process. If you do not hear back immediately, it does not mean no. It simply means we are reviewing applications carefully and thoughtfully. Thank you for your interest in Brinton Goldens and for taking the time to apply with care.
